This time, i want to discuss about Astro Bill Payment. I can’t recall when exactly i start subscribing to Astro, but i do remember from the first day i subscribe to Astro. I intentionally requested for E-billing, purely just because i like to do everything online. Very convenient and save time. I do know some people still prefer to have paper receipt to be mailed to their home. My father in law is one of them. I believe Astro also see how convenient and cost saving for them to switch or force their customer to go for E-billing. As far as i can remember, they always have a campaign or promotion to encourage their customer to switch to E-billing.

The most current campaign that they have is “Switch to e-Billing and stand a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy S9+”. If you read this article and you are Astro customer but still using the paper bill. Then i personally also encourage you to switch to e-Billing. Not only you stand a chance or a very small chance to win a Samsung Galaxy S9+, but also you will reduce the paper bills that sent to your home. Set Up Credit Card Online

Astro make it very easy for their customer to switch to e-Billing. You just need to input your Astro Account Number and your email address that you want the e-Billing to be sent to. Just input those 2 information on this link and you are good to go. There is no need to call Astro Customer Service for this. As my own experience calling Astro Customer Service, not only the waiting time is long, but also sometimes you just speak with the Astro Customer Service that having a bad day.

Astro Bill Payment [AMEX Credit Card]

Previously, when i am still staying together with my in law family and their house, my wife helped her parents with the Astro Bill Payment. So what my wife usually do, when the paper bill arrived at home, she will check whether the amount is correct or not and the due date for the payment. Then once the amount is correct, she usually keep the bill first and pay only 1 week before the due date. At that time, i don’t think Astro have open up Online Payment for the Bill Payment. So she always call Astro Customer Service using the landline number and pay the bill over the phone.

The customer service take down the credit card details over the phone and then they will process it at their end. At that time, they only accept Visa or Master Card. This time, i want to give an update about Astro Bill Payment that now you can pay Astro Bill using Maybank AMEX card. I think only Maybank issued America Express card in Malaysia. There are 2 ways that you can perform your Astro Bill Payment with AMEX Credit Card. First one is using Astro Payment Platform and the second one is using Maybank2u.

Here is the steps that you need to do to perform the Astro Bill Payment using their platform.

1. Check the e-Bill that Astro sent to you registered email.
2. From that e-Bill, click on the “Pay With Astro” button beside the Due Date.
3. That link will bring you directly to the Payment Page. To prevent you pay to the wrong account number, always verify the account number and account name. I usually will pay the full amount, however, if you want to pay only certain amount (not full amount), then you need to click on the “Pay Another Amount” button.
4. Type in the Credit Card details in the respective column. Last time, they didn’t accept AMEX in their platform, but now, they do accept Maybank American Express card for the payment.
5. As usual, you will get MSOS code. Type in correctly and proceed.
6. Once the payment is successful, you will get notification on the screen about it. My own habit, i always take the screenshot and sent it to my own email for reference.
   

Payment [Online Banking]

Another way that you can do your Astro Bill Payment is using Maybank2u. The steps is very similar with my previous article (TNB Online Payment & Unifi Online Payment). The only difference is the Payee Name. So if you choose to do it with Maybank2u, you can refer to my other article and followed the steps by steps. I also have CIMB Bank but i very seldom to use it to perform any Bill Payment. Not because of CIMB is worse then Maybank, it’s just i am very familiar with Maybank2u interface. I think i will write an article on how to pay bills using CIMB Clicks.

Another method of Online Payment for Astro that recently appearing is using JomPay. Honestly, i am only using JomPay to pay for Syabas Bill. That’s because it’s the only method online that Syabas offer for their customer to pay the bills.
